Steamship Medusa ChallengerThe Steamship Medusa Challenger, built in 1906 by Great Lakes Engineering Works, Ecorse, MI as the William P Snyder for the Shenengo Furnace Co. She was re-powered with a Skinner Uniflow engine in 1950 (4 cyl - 3500 ihp.) Renamed Elton Hoyt II in 1952, again renamed Alex D Chisholm in 1952. She was renamed Medusa Challenger in 1966 and converted to a cement carrier in 1967
