McKee SonsOriginally built as the Marine Angel a C4 Troop Carrier in 1945 by Sun Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Chester, PA. for the U.S. Maritime Commission. Converted to a self-unloader and lengthened 123 feet in 1952. Her "laker" bow was built by Ingalls Shipbuilding Corp. Baltimore Maryland in 1952. She was reduced to a barge in 1991 and lost 53'10" in length.
