MV American RepublicThe American Republic was built in 1981 for the American Steamship Company by Bay Shipbuilding Co. of Sturgeon Bay, Wis. To aid her in her usuall shuttle run from Lorain, OH to the LTV steel plants up the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland she is equipped with both bow and stern thrusters as well as four steering rudders, fixed Kort nozzles, and four flanking rudders
